We've been there too.
Koupli was born from a simple observation: managing money as a couple is complicated. And no tool was truly built for it.
It all started with an argument over groceries.
One evening, after yet another discussion about "who paid for what" this month, we realized the problem wasn't money. It was the lack of visibility. Each of us felt like we were paying more than the other, with no way to verify it objectively.
We tried shared spreadsheets, solo budget apps, notes on the fridge. Nothing worked. Either it was too complex, or it didn't account for the reality of being a couple: separate accounts, shared expenses, different incomes, and sharing rules that change depending on the situation.
So we built Koupli. A tool designed from the ground up for couples. Not a solo tool with a "sharing" mode added as an afterthought. A tool where financial transparency doesn't mean surveillance, but peace of mind.
Our convictions
The principles that guide every product decision.
Transparency, not surveillance
Sharing your finances doesn't mean spying on the other. Every shared piece of data is shared by choice, never by default. You have full control over what your partner sees.
Your data belongs to you
No reselling, no targeted ads, no profiling. Your financial data stays yours. You can export or delete it at any time.
Simplicity above all
A financial tool shouldn't require an accounting degree. Every feature is designed to be understood in less than 5 seconds.
